About This Blog

Many college students experience long distance relationships as some point in their lives, whether it is between a friend or a significant other.  My name is Nicole Sherwood and I met my boyfriend of two and a half years, Christian Lianez, our senior year of high school.  We spent the whole year glued to each other's sides.  We had two classes together and participated in theater after school.  On the weekends, we were always at each other's houses doing homework and watching movies.  We spent as much of the summer as we could together.

Christian got accepted into Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  This was his top pick out of the colleges he applied for.  I applied and was accepted to Indiana University South Bend, a commuter college close to home.

We do not have the furthest distance between us, and some may say that we don't really have a long distance relationship at all.  We usually get to see each other one weekend out of each month, the whole month of December for winter break, and the summer.  But the point of this blog is to give college students insight (whether or not they are in a long distance relationship) to the good and bad aspects of a long distance relationship.

  1. Okay, first of all this is simply just the cutest blog I have ever seen. I loved the personal image as the background, that way the reader had a clear image to go along with the text (the story). This topic is something that many college students deal with so I think it was a great topic choice as many people can relate to it. I had a little bit of struggle trying to find the comment section in your blog, but overall really enjoyed it.

  3. I think this is a really interesting and relatable topic to explore. Even if people haven't had to deal with long distance romantic relationships, they still may deal with long distance friendships that can follow a similar set of struggles. Additionally, I really loved the personalization within the blog, like the background and the title. I'm excited to start reading your blog and following along with your story.
